The Client
Company: Dräger Chile
Interviewee: Pablo Angulo Lastra, Operations, Logistics and Supply Chain Manager
Industry: Medical and safety technology
Profile: Dräger is a global market leader with more than 80 years of history, specialized in “Technology for Life.” It operates in two main divisions: Medical, which provides critical equipment for operating rooms and patients (anesthesia machines, ventilators, incubators), and Safety, which develops respiratory protection equipment for mining, firefighters, and mine rescue shelters.
The Challenge: Strategic Growth Blocked by Manual Processes
The Dräger Chile team had a clear strategic goal: to launch an e-commerce channel to expand its market. However, they faced a fundamental obstacle.
“We wanted to have an e-commerce channel, and without a doubt, without software to help us manage inventory in the cloud, it was impossible,” explains Pablo Angulo Lastra.
Dräger’s logistics operation, although based in a compact distribution center, handles high complexity. “We control batch, serial number, and expiration date for critical medical equipment,” notes Angulo. Before invasWMS, their operation relied on the ERP and, essentially, on “paper and spreadsheets.”
This manual system generated critical issues:
- Inefficient Processes: A clear example—registering the receipt of 900 serialized items could take a full week.
- Lack of Visibility (Data Lag): There was a significant gap between physical warehouse operations and the digital recording of information, preventing real-time decision-making.
- Inventory Errors: Manual management caused “many inventory discrepancies,” reaching a 1.2% discrepancy rate.
- Slow Inventory Counts: The complete process of counting and administratively closing the general inventory took three weeks.
The Solution: A Partner that Stood Out “By Far”

The Results: Exponential Efficiency and Growth Without Additional Costs
The implementation of invasWMS transformed Dräger’s logistics, delivering full control and measurable efficiency from day one.
“When I saw invasMONITOR for the first time, the operations manager and I just stood there watching how fast everything flowed,” recalls Pablo Angulo.
Key Results:
+400% Increase in Picking Productivity:
Order preparation capacity increased dramatically.
Receiving in Hours, Not Weeks:
The receipt process for 900 serialized items, which previously took one week, is now completed in “half a morning.”
85% Reduction in Inventory Time:
The general inventory count was reduced from three weeks to just three days.
Higher Inventory Accuracy:
Inventory discrepancies dropped from 1.2% to less than 0.5%.
Full Scalability:
Dräger has experienced strong sales growth and now moves a much higher volume of goods without increasing staff at its distribution center.
